Re: Tyre brand.....Michelin? Good year?....
it could be due to alignment or uneven tires pressure

Re: Tyre brand.....Michelin? Good year?....
i have a pair of Michelin Primacy 3 ST (China) - used for nearly a year now for the front.
a month after i bought that tyre, i put a pair of Michelin Pilot Super Sport (PSS) at the back.
last week, i realised the PSS only has 1 groove left... two grooves already bald/ botak - this is after about 28k km within 8 short months. while the 3ST can last at least another 20k km.
I replaced the PSS with GY-Asym2 255/40/18 (our 245/45/18 is not available). With treadwear of 240... i'm not sure how long it would last...

Re: Tyre brand.....Michelin? Good year?....
Just got back from the gas station to find out that:
Recommended tire pressures are: 33psi front, 30psi rear.
My tire pressures were: 30psi front, 28psi rear.
Total ownership duration since collection: approximately 6 months.
Total mileage: under 3,000 kms.
After pumping up the tires, I found no difference in ride comfort at slow speeds.

Hmm, I think it would be prudent on my part to check mine as well. If anything mine look underinflated.

After 2 days of driving, I have recheck the tyre pressure. To my surprise, the tyre was over inflated, more than 300kg/cm2.
Rule of thumb no:1---trust nobody. check the tyre pressure by yourself.
Now the ride is much much comfort.

I received my car yesterday, drove 120km home, with Bridgestone Turanza ER300。
The ride was a bit firm, not sure due to the tyre pressure or the suspension. Hopefully the tyre noise would improved after sometime.

Are the Michelins that come with our cars really all that great? I think the tires all are priced around the same to Audi so they simply use what is in inventory at the time. Looking at reviews, these tires look pretty much the same in terms of performance and durability.

For the a6h, just like the torque monster 320d, the wear rate greatly depends on how often you put the 480nm of twisting force to use.
On my previous 320d, my Bridgestone potenza rear tyres wore out in less than 25k km but it was loads fun having that kind of shove at your disposal

Mine is good year tyre as well, but trust me every tyre from a6H will wear out very soon due to its it consider as comfort tyre for eg like michilin they provide primacy LC, its comfortable tyre but with lower tear wear, base on my experience can go botak around 30-40 thousand or maybe lesser depend on the driver..

turanza as well, just like the Camry.
Only difference are that they are made in Poland and of the XL rated type, which stands for Extra Load featuring reinforced sidewalls
Yeah, I've seen the showroom units fitted with michelins and Pirelli but on delivery most seems to be Bridgestone and Goodyears
