MMI doesn't tell you the exact tyre pressure in psi/kpa
Thx mate

Engine oil check Empty Re: Engine oil check

Post by Michalis16 Tue Oct 22, 2013 6:37 pm

Hi guys,

I'm still figuring out how to use the tyre pressure
Function in MMI. The system keep asking me to set up
The tyre pressure while the car stops,
But then everytimes I check again, MMI asked me to do the same again (setup up tyre pressure). Did I miss anything?

Cheers

Engine oil check Empty Engine oil dip stick

After filling up the petrol, just move to the air pressure pump corner. Have the tyre pressure check, by the time you finish checking the 4 tyres, it is just the right time to check the engine oil level.
Hi all bros,

I am reading quite a lot about this engine oil scare.... After reading so much, I am just thinking to ease our fear, why not we just do a group purchase of the engine oil dip stick.

I can get a fren to help import it from China, let say RM30 /pc. Who is with me ?

Just make sure you check it on a warm engine, 2-5 minutes after a drive. What I usually do is returning from a shopping trip, unloading the bags will nicely give me that 2-5 minute interval needed before I invoke the oil check

That is pretty decent, reading onwers of A5 complain about high oil consumption made me worried.

Just did the engine oil check after unloading the shopping bags from the car, which easily allows for a 2 minute interval before the check is recommended to be done.

At around 1100+ km over about 2 months, oil level is still ok. Driving mostly slow poke style as per run in guidelines.

Audi TFSI engines are famous for consuming oil when driven hard, will check it monthly or after every 2000km

Engine oil check Empty Engine oil check

How often do you guys check the engine oil and when is the most convenient time? I always find myself forgetting the task. Why can't they have the trusty dipstick around?

For those who had topped up what's your mileage and how much extra you had to put in?

If I remembered correctly, the SA said to use she'll helix synthetic 5w-40 if I'm not wrong
