Whirring" noise upon parking brake activation/deactivation

mine, warranty expired in april 17 - the "hiew" sound is becoming very loud now. someone in ACM claimed replacing the caliper would cost RM3700 each side.

Am waiting for it to fail and replace it - any recommendation where to send?

Me too encountered this "hiu" sound and sent in for warranty claim. 
SC changed out NOT only the parking brake motor but both brake calipers as well. SC told me that they ever encountered changing the motor alone still have "hiu" sound, so they change both...
At the same time was told that rear brake pad needed replacement.....RM1.3K gone...

only pads rm1300? thats too much!

stockist selling pads at only SGD50.00 !

sent for checking, I was told it was due to rear brake pad wear off (at 55k km?). I must admit that i used brake assit quiet often when driving in town.
The brake pads were changed (RM1300 inclusive of labour charge). the right rear no more noise, but left rear still having a little "whirr".

if yes, then the parking brake motor kong soon.

if under waranty, go claim it. i recently got it claimed under warranty.

I heard of this for the first time, when I open the window for other reason. It was no audible when the window is closed.
