Re: A6 Hybrid standard rims
If I'm not mistaken, the offset is ET39.

Re: A6 Hybrid standard rims
standard rims is 18x8j 5x112 66.6center bore. not sure abt offset.
audi optional 20" for our hybrid is 20x8.5" 45mm offset, so calculate for there.
u'll be safe with around 10mm wider to look more flush. mine is +16mm without problem. but it's depending on wheel design, better fit and test 1st...

Re: A6 Hybrid standard rims
Hi guys
Anyone knows what's the offset of our standard rims
Just wanna confirm that it's 18x8j, 5x112 ET?
Looking at some rims but just wanted to make sure the offsets are not too much compromised

Hi Guys. All this talk about rims and the fact that I dislike the hybrid rims was driving me crazy so I went to Audi to see for myself. A few things I learnt this weekend:
1. You can change the rims that your car comes with. However you will have to requeue and the car will arrive in Nov/Dec (if you order it soon). My original delivery date was July.
2. You will have to pay to upgrade. An upgrade from the hybrid rims to 19" rims will cost about 13K AND you will have to pay 50% up front (I suspect that my SA does not like me at all)(FYI, Audi service truly sucks).
3. I was surprised that when I saw 2 identical A6s with 18 inch and 19 inch wheels side by side, the one with the 19" wheels was actually higher/taller than the one with the 18" wheels. I would suspect about a 2 inch difference. I was gobsmacked by the difference! I never knew the rims and tyre choice affected the overall profile of the car!
4. Audi has a list of options which you can order, from nougat brown seats, to different rims, to Google earth and wireless internet built into your car, etc. Best thing is to check out the list with the SA.
That's about it. Good hunting guys!

That is what in my mind. Though tires are much more expensive, but I think safety of my family and I is much more than that.Admin wrote:Use The mobility kit to seal in the puncture and then inflate the tyre at the same time. Then when a tyre shop is seen, remove the tyre from the rim, clean off the goo, permanently repair the puncture (ideally get an internal patch).
Alternatively, your next tyre change can be an RFT for a complete peace of mind

With the battery pack in its place, Consider ourselves lucky we still have boot space.
There's no spare tyre and in its place is a mobility kit instead

Re: A6 Hybrid standard rims
Hi There Gekis3. Why are you putting up the 19" rims for adoption? They look sweet! Going to increase / reduce the rim size?
Thanks ...
Thanks ...

Re: A6 Hybrid standard rims
You can choose the options on your own. There is no official spec called the Black Line A6h sold locally. The Red unit in the showroom was done by the local EM product manager in Glenmarie. Pick and choose options from the online Audi configurator before placing your order at EM.
There was an available Glacier white unit with Power boot, Google maps and BOSE 2 days ago from a customer who cancelled his order. Not sure if it has been snapped up yet.

Piano black or carbon atlas inlay will be perfect for black edition. I wonder who is that no taste fellow chose this option?

Re: A6 Hybrid standard rims
I would not like this Black Line edition, ya the rim and steering wheel is nice but the woodtrim is yakki.

Re: A6 Hybrid standard rims
Yes, it was not publicly known to buyers. If you look closely at the pics, the custom interior shots are from an a6h already registered (road tax stuck on) and the car is silver. It's a friend's car .

Re: A6 Hybrid standard rims
Hi vodka
Yeah, I saw that red unit when I collected my car recently.
It's called the Black Line edition but at that time, it was only for display as bookings were still closed.
The A6h was at the time of launch, strictly not allowed customizations or at least they were highly discouraged by the sales people citing extra long waiting period
Heard that limited bookings (less than 500) will be accepted soon or already started with delivery slated by November-December 2013

Re: A6 Hybrid standard rims
EM brought in a customized A6h for display at the Glenmarie showroom which comes with lightweight 20" Audi Forged wheel option, black optics trims, 3 spoke steering, black roof lining, sports seats to name a few. A friend recently took delivery of his a6h with similar specs.
Nice thing about Audi is you can make to order each car unlike mass marketed CKD Merc and BMWs sold here. Logistically it's more work for EM to do this for each order, but if you ask they will provide you the options list available beyond what is listed as optional (e.g BOSE) in the std sales sheet. Only thing is you have to wait.

Re: A6 Hybrid standard rims
Agree with you that the A6h rims looks absolutely hideous but I won't go changing the rims yet for fear of voiding the warranty. At least, make sure you don't get further quality issues first.
Yeah, the 5 spoke V design looks über cool

A6 Hybrid standard rims
Hi everyone. I am looking forward to the delivery of my A6 soon. However I don't think I like the look of the standard hybrid rims. Does anyone else share this view?
I prefer something like the 19" 15 spoke rims offered by Audi UK or even the 18" 5 spoke v-design. Does anyone have any idea how it will affect ride quality? And its cost? Would the pricing in Singapore be any better?
FYI, this is my first Audi. Currently am driving a Passat CC (beautiful rims) and am torn between the two :-( But everytime I see the A6, I go "wah"!
