I had a flat rear tire last week. It happened while I was driving around 50km/h. I hear a loud hissing sound and when I stopped to inspect, the left rear tire was totally flat.  to my surprise the tire pressure monitor did indicate any warning alert. I drove for 3 km to the nearest tire shop with a flat tire and still did not get any alert . Anyone else experience this or know what is wrong
I guess your TPMS had not been set.
I'm just guessing... (the general A6 manual on page 30 show "Reset TPMS Indicator Light")

I have changed to Continental Conti Max MC5.
It is extra load tyres.
softer, and much quiet than Bridgestone.

I encounter punctured tyre in 4 occasions, thank God, the alert system worked well, able to indicate the particular tyre before it was flat.

A6h is a heavy car. at 1.85 tons. make sure the new tires can withhold the weight.

when i changed to 19", i ordere extra load tires for it. of coz... need to pay more

what tyre?

Post by kcho on Thu Jul 30, 2015 4:44 pm

The A6H is already 2 years old.
I believed many of us have had the tyre changed. Anyone would like to share your personal review?
My Brigdestone ER300 have done 35000km, I am thinking to change to Continental Conti Max Comfort MC5.(about RM630/piece)
Any comment?
